Basically a LMIA (Labor Market Impact Assessment) is a document that an employer in Canada may need to get before hiring a foreign worker. And in simpler words, a positive LMIA will signify that there is indeed a requirement of a foreign worked for the respective Canadian business, while a negative LMIA would pose that the position must instead be filled by a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident.
